On Friday, May 9, Efebé took part in the Tr@ms Foundation Partners’ Day, an annual event that brings together Catalan schools committed to innovation. This year, we presented two major initiatives: the CtoC project for schools and the Sustainability Excellence Seal.

The CtoC project for schools: circularity and sustainability start in the classroom

The CtoC project for schools is a proposal that gives new life to school furniture. We recover the frames of existing chairs and desks. Then, we transform them using recycled plastic panels and modern, custom finishes. The result is healthier, more sustainable, and contemporary learning spaces.

Moreover, the project promotes values such as reuse, environmental awareness, and responsible consumption. Schools can participate in activities such as plastic collection, awareness workshops, and educational programs. As a result, CtoC becomes a teaching tool with a real impact in the classroom.

In fact, the project is developed in collaboration with social organizations, which strengthens its inclusive dimension. It is an educational proposal with triple impact: environmental, social, and economic.

The Sustainability Excellence Seal: a recognition with real value

Alongside the CtoC project, we also presented our Sustainability Excellence Seal. This certification evaluates the level of environmental commitment of educational spaces. It takes into account both the design and implementation phases.

The seal is based on three pillars: environmental, social, and economic. Criteria include efficient resource use, the choice of sustainable materials, and collaboration with local suppliers. Furniture reuse and the use of renewable energy are also considered.

The seal establishes three levels of excellence, allowing schools to measure their sustainability performance and set improvement goals.

A meeting to grow together

The event took place at the Aeroclub Barcelona Sabadell. Schools from the Tr@ms Foundation network participated, which includes more than 2,000 teachers and 20,000 students. This non-profit organization promotes innovation as a core identity of schools.

In this context, the meeting was a valuable opportunity to connect with like-minded schools. At Efebé, we are committed to offering solutions that help schools move towards a more sustainable and conscious education.
